We also discuss community helpers and how to follow a recipe when making a snack or dessert. Math skills/ We will be working on calculator skills, adding subtracting, multiplying and division. We will work on learning money and using a calculator to assist in daily living.

Math Core Standards: Standard 6.RP. 2, 6RP. 3c., 6 NS2 and 3. We will have teacher guided activities this way the teacher can model and students can have a guide to follow. We are currently studying the seasons and appropriate weather for the seasons and what type of clothes to wear.

The students will continue to study Daily Living Skills, Writing, English, and Math as well as Science, and American History. The essential questions for my class would be: Without help tell me what your name address and phone number is who are your parents/guardians? What are the days, months of the year and what year is it? What clothes do you wear in different types of weather? What city do you live in, What State do you live in?

The class is great. The students need one on one help with all academics, and everyday life skills. If you have any questions about what we are currently doing please call 332-7530. Ask for Kathy Looper
