Objectives and Standards

W.7.3.C  Write narratives to develop real or imagined experiences or events using an effective technique, relevant descriptive details, and well-structured event sequences.

W.7.1.D  Establish and maintain a formal style.

Success Statement

I can write a good paragraph.  I can understand what I read.


Student’s writings will be used to determine if the skill is mastered.


The materials that will be used will include, and not be limited to AGS Target Writing & Grammar Skills, the PEEL method of writing, Reading, Smart -board, Computer, and you tube information, also Library as necessary. Reading A-Z. Vocabulary A-Z , Plickers, and teacher’s individual books.

Functions of Parts of Speech

Proper Nouns

Possessive Nouns

Common, Proper, and Possessive Nouns

Singular and Plural Nouns

Singular and Plural Possessive Nouns



Capitalize Dates and Names

Collective Nouns

5-10 minutes MobyMax Vocabulary

20 minutes-Reading leveled books from book box & Completing targeted skills

15 minutes-Writers’ Workshop

9 minutes- Educational Games
